About Connor:

Connor Byrne is a poet and performer from Brighton, who now lives in London. They write and perform poetry focusing on ideas of gender and relationships.

Performances include Edinburgh and Brighton Fringes 2016-present, Brighton Pride and Trans Pride Brighton, London Literature Festival at the Southbank Centre, support for Out-Spoken Press Tour, LIVEwire salon at UN Women’s Art’s Week and Byline Festival.  

International performances include readings at Desperate Literature and Nakama Lib in Madrid, and at Open Secret in Paris and SpeakEasy in Brussels

Connor was a Hammer and Tongue regional finalist 2017 and national finalist 2017 and 2018, and a Roundhouse Slam finalist 2017.

They have self-published two short pamphlets: Borrowed Robes (2017) and parts and places (2018).

Connor has recently been a part of The Writer’s Place Poets 2018 (New Writing South) and has been a member of The Writing Room 2018 cohort (Apples and Snakes.)
